mommy and me time…

I haven’t really made any friends since we moved out to Spokane… Now that I have little Lincoln, I’m hoping that I’ll be able to meet some other moms and maybe make some friends that way.

I finally made it to the ‘Mommy and Me’ group at the hospital where I had Lincoln.  It was good to get out of the house and interact with some adults 🙂  There were also a lot of cute babies, including a set of triplets!  Hopefully I’ll make some mommy friends and Lincoln can have some infant buddies too!

Today Lincoln spent most of the class on my lap, watching some of the older babies who can sit on their own playing together.  He was pretty mesmerized… and apparently all of the exciting observations wore him out.  He stayed asleep in his car seat for about 20 minutes after we got home, which for Lincoln is unprecedented.

please note the drool bubbles… he has become a drooling machine in the last few weeks!

  1. I totally understand ,when Tim was in the navy and the kids were little meeting new adults was great , but you will then Lincoln will have tons of play dates , birthday parties and other kid adventures. Another good place to meet other moms perhaps story time at the library.

  2. Rose is right, go to story times! Even now Lincoln would love seeing the other kids, even if he’s not paying attention to the story 🙂 We loved our new mom’s group at the hospital, it just great to talk to other moms going through all the same things you are, definitely keep going! Look to see if there are any baby sign language or music classes near you too, those are fun and a great way to meet friends! You’re doing great friend xoxo

    • Thanks friend 🙂 I will definitely be looking into music classes. I remember Andrew & Connor using some of that baby sign language, but I think it was just something that Jen taught them using a book she read. I didn’t know they had classes. Fun!
