Months three and four have flown by!
When Lincoln was a baby, it was pretty easy to keep up with posting monthly pictures in a somewhat timely fashion. I don’t have quite as much free time these days…
Anyway, here are Harrison’s two month pictures and stats.
(He is a full pound heavier than Lincoln was at the same age!)
Weight – 13lb. 14oz. (95th percentile)
Length – 25 inches (>95th percentile)
Head Circumference – 41 centimeters (75th percentile)
Baby Harrison is already one month old (actually more like 7 weeks old, but anyway…)
Our pediatrician was so delighted with his weight gain at his one week check up, that we haven’t been back in for a visit yet. So, I don’t know his exact size, but at my 6 week check up, we weighed him at my midwife’s office, and it looks like he is already over 13 pounds… my “little” baby boy…
After much anticipation, baby #2 finally arrived!
My “estimated due date” was July 1st. Baby arrived 12 days later.
Born Monday, July 13th at 4:45pm… weighing in at 10lb. 8oz….
Harrison Stephen La Crosse
I’ll share some more details of his birth later, but for now, here are a few pictures from his arrival…
Well, my sweet baby boy is officially two years old.
We had a low key celebration at home on his birthday Monday, with a few presents, cupcakes and balloons.
Tomorrow we are heading to Oregon to celebrate with the rest of our family. Here are just a few pictures from his special day.
Happy Birthday Lincoln!
Okay, well not really here in Los Angeles… sunshine and 60 degree weather do not quite say “Christmas” to me… Not that I am complaining! I hear about the arctic weather back in Chicago, and I feel lucky to be trotting around in a cardigan, rather than a parka. (I have been pretty amused to see the locals dressing for this “winter” weather. Lots of puffy coats, lots of Uggs… I mean, come on people!)
Anyway, I’ve been reading a book called, “The Last Child in the Woods” which is all about the importance of nature and the outdoors for children. Living in a pretty urban setting, I’m not sure that Lincoln is getting the kind of idyllic self-directed interaction with the natural world that the book advocates, but I do try to make sure Lincoln gets some time outside every day.
Here are a few of our recent neighborhood walks…
Lincoln has always been a very happy, smiley baby (can I still call him a baby?), but he is just now starting to laugh out loud a lot more.
I think some of this is pretend laughter, but it’s pretty cute nonetheless…
Well almost anyway…
July simply flew by. We drove down to Bend for a weekend visit. We spent about five days in Chicago visiting friends and family there. And in between, Lincoln went to some Kindermusik classes, played outside a lot and grew into some sort of climbing, monkey boy (he is suddenly able to climb onto our couch completely unassisted).
Here are some pictures from the month…
(La Crosses– Why didn’t we insist on taking some family pictures at the BBQ?! I didn’t get any pictures of Lincoln with any of the kids… Next time I guess…)
After living here for about a year and a half, I feel like I know my way around Spokane pretty well. However, I am still stumbling upon and discovering new parks with Lincoln. There seem to be a lot of parks here, which is really great.
Here’s a little video I took of Lincoln last week…
(I promise he did not go head first down the slide after I stopped recording)
Happy weekend! And happy first day of summer!
